EXCLUSION OF THE PUBLIC
Recommendation: That under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 1972 and in accordance with the Panel’s agreed protocol, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information under the relevant paragraphs of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act. COMPLAINT AGAINST THE SURREY POLICE AND CRIME COMMISSIONER
In accordance with the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 2012 and the Panel’s agreed complaints protocol, the Complaints Sub-Committee is asked to seek the informal resolution of the attached complaint. Minutes: The Complaints Sub-Committee received a complaint against the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC).
· Having considered the original complaint, and a statement from the PCC, the Sub-Committee unanimously agreed to not uphold the complaint. · It was agreed that a recorded vote be made available to the public; Margaret Cooksey and Dorothy Ross-Tomlin voted in support of adding additional comments in relation to the complaint. Ken Harwood and John O’Reilly voted against adding further comments to the complaint, John O’Reilly used his casting vote as chair in order for additional comments not to be added to the complaint. |

PUBLICITY OF PART 2 ITEMS
To consider whether the items considered under Part 2 of the agenda should be made available to the press and public. Minutes: The Committee agreed there would not be any disclosure of the discussion to the press and public.
RESOLVED: That a letter be sent to the Complainants and to the Police and Crime Commissioner, setting out the findings of the Complaints Sub- Committee. |
