Surrey County Council has consulted on a proposal to close the Hearing Impaired Centre from 31 August 2015.
The consultation period was from 26January 2015 to 10 March 2015. There was a public meeting held at the school on 2 February 2015, following which Statutory Notices were published at the school, in the local newspaper and on the Surrey Says website stating the intention to close the specialist centre. This is in accordance with the School Organisation (Prescribed Alterations to Maintained School) Regulations 2013.
The Cabinet Member is asked to review the comments received during the consultation period.
