The Surrey Education Fund is a permanent fund held within the Community Foundation for Surrey, following the transfer of dormant trusts from SCC to the Community Foundation in March 2017 in order to reactivate for public benefit. The funds are invested to create an income from which grants are awarded to support local community, voluntary and educational groups. The Fund aims to help disadvantaged people with training, skills and education including sports and arts. The Panel will agree the Fund priorities each year, within the overall Fund criteria and will consider assessed grant applications and decide on grant awards. Other work will include ensuring the Fund is widely promoted and will consider the grant monitoring and impact reports.
