Award of 9 local bus routes to 3 bus operators, retendered through the Public Bus Dynamic Purchasing System.
Decision:
It was AGREED that:
- 9 local bus routes were retendered via the Public Bus Dynamic Purchasing System and 3 bus operators were successful in obtaining 1 or more of the routes.
Reasons for the decision:
The successful operators were evaluated as the Most Economically Advantageous Tenders.
The procurement process was a compliant mini competition through the Public Bus Dynamic Purchasing System.
Alternative options considered:
As part of the procurement process, a full options appraisal was conducted. Retendering the local bus routes through the Public Bus Dynamic Purchasing System was selected as the most appropriate route to market.
An evaluation panel assessed the tenders received for value for money to determine the Most Economically Advantageous Tenders.
