The report seeks approval from the Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure, in conjunction with the Leader and Deputy Leader to declare specific parcels of land at Stanwell Gardens formally surplus to support their disposal, together with approval to conclude terms on one specific asset as reported. Under current Standing Orders, the Cabinet Member (in conjunction with the Leader and Deputy Leader) may authorise surplus declarations and their subsequent disposal where a capital receipt is below £1m. Disposals above £1m would require full Cabinet approval. The assets in this report have been identified for disposal with values below £1m. Additional documents: Decision: The Cabinet Member for Property, Waste and Infrastructure: 1. Declared the parcels known as land west of Stanwell Gardens and Russell Drive, Stanwell, Staines, as formally surplus to operational requirements (and agreed this in conjunction with the Leader and Deputy Leader as required under Standing Orders). 2. Approved the sale of garden land specifically at No 17, Russell Drive on the terms reported in the part 2 report and, 3. Delegated authority to the Executive Director for Environment Property and Growth with the Director of Land and Property to secure best value from future releases. |
