We the undersigned are concerned at the partial closure of London Road Guildford by Surrey County Council Highways for a period of five months, with work due to start on 9 January 2023. This is a main arterial route into Guildford to and from the A3. It will cause gridlock, significant delays, and misery for all those who regularly use this road, including school children, residents and local businesses. It will also add to pollution in and around the diversion routes. We ask that Surrey County Council find a more acceptable way of carrying out this work than closing the northbound lane completely.
