We the undersigned petition Surrey County Council to We, the undersigned residents of Carroll Avenue and the surrounding roads including Daryngton Drive, Holfford Road and Elles Avenue wish to formally object to the proposed installation of four electric vehicle (EV) charging points, together with a feeder pillar and associated road marking and roadside signage in Carroll Avenue.
While we are fully supportive of the move towards cleaner, sustainable transport and appreciate the growing need for EV infrastructure, we believe this proposal is totally inappropriate for our location and urge the council to reconsider.
Carrol Avenue is a beautiful tree lined avenue consisting of 19 houses, all of which have off-street parking and driveways. We are a very sociable avenue where we and our neighbouring roads all get together to celebrate on Carroll Avenue, and families bring their children here to learn to ride their bikes and play in our road.
Main concerns and objections:
- Total Lack of Local demand
- Displacement of Demand
- Traffic and Safety Concerns
- Parking Restrictions
- Visual Impact on the Streetscape
- Street Play Protect
