Infrastructure, Planning and Major Projects Service is responding to ‘Planning for the Future’ White Paper consultation:

The response addresses the questions posed in the consultation document. Key points raised include: A failure to address minerals and waste planning and set out any proposals to support strategic planning; unclear how strategic infrastructure will be integrated into land categorisation; concerns over infrastructure funding; need to emphasise planning for zero carbon and climate resilient communities; adequate resourcing needed for local authorities.

It was AGREED to submit the proposed attached response to the consultation outlined above.

Reasons for Decision:

The responses to the consultation will be submitted to Government so that it can be considered in relation to any future decision on the proposal.
