Decision:
It was AGREED that following a mini-competition tendering exercise and extensive pre-construction preparation, a contract be awarded for early enabling works for the 2013/14 schools capital construction project at Horley NE Primary School to the contractor identified in paragraph 3 of the Contract Award report.
Reasons for the decision:
To enable early groundwork’s and external works to be carried out for the construction project at Horley NE Primary School, which will result in increased basic need provision for children in accordance with the council's statutory obligations.
Alternative options considered:
The tender for this contract has been conducted in accordance with EU Procurement rules under Frameworks previously approved by Cabinet pursuant to the Council’s Procurement Standing Orders. No alternative options are available for consideration by the Strategic Director.
