To report progress made with the delivery of proposed highways

and developer funded schemes, and revenue funded works for

the 2018/19 financial year.

The Local Committee (Surrey Heath) noted:

i)              the progress with the ITS highways and developer funded schemes, and revenue funded works for the 2018/19 financial year.     

ii)             the budgetary position.

iii)            that a further Highways Update will be brought to the next meeting of this Committee.

To enable progression of highways related works.

The Area Highways Manger presented the report.  The AHM also gave a verbal update on the proposed budget for 2019/20.  The proposal is that the Capital Budget will increase from approx £39,000 to approx £180,000.  However, the current revenue budget of £168,000 will be cut.  This will have implications for Committee Members and Highways in managing and maintaining roads and infrastructure, as the current budget does not keep up with public and committee requirements.
