    Notice of Petition

Received from Mr Adam Connolly, 307 signatures.

We would like Surrey Council to use their influence and reach to ensure that Highways England add sound dampening measures during their expansion of the M23 from J8-J10 to soften the sound at our residents. The current plan is to only use the hard shoulder when the traffic is heavy. With time, traffic on our roads will increase and the hard shoulder will be used permanently. Not only will this affect our standard of living it will affect the value of our homes and the ability to see them.

A response will be tabled at the meeting.

    Decision:

That the response, attached to this decision sheet as Appendix 1, be approved.
