As part of the final Local Government Finance Settlement for 2024/25, the Government announced a requirement for all local authorities to produce productivity plans. DWP have introduced a package of measures to address both economic inactivity and the barriers and disadvantages preventing people from joining the workforce. This package includes Universal Support, the large-scale supported employment programme which will be delivered via grant to SCC from autumn 2024.
