Grafton Stables
We the undersigned petition Surrey County Council to We the undersigned urge the sale of the Grafton Stables site in Cuddington by Surrey County Council as a Community Asset Transfer, so that it can be developed and maintained in the interest of the local Cuddington community and local biodiversity. We support the joint bid by Cuddington Residents Association, Wandgas Sports Club and a local resident to acquire the site.
Local families and visitors could benefit greatly from this project. Local students and schoolchildren thrive in a "forest school" experience, particularly those on the Autistic Spectrum; there is a specialist school next door. The land provides opportunities for a wildlife corridor between our local chalk stream, nearby reserves and parks. A walking route to connect us with local stations and encourage better health. Sensitive development to encourage sport and community activities will secure the site and finance the upkeep of the woodland.
