Barnett Wood Lane is used by many people in Ashtead with a large proportion of them being parents walking their children to school (no other route is possible).
The paths are very narrow, especially on the left-hand side when facing north. Cars drive quickly along the road which are very close to you when walking along.
I believe it is only a matter of time before a child is hurt, either by a car driven dangerously or being clipped by a wing mirror. Many young children like to use Scooters which further increases the danger.
I ask the council to make walking along the road far safer by installing safety barriers much like there are at the pedestrian crossing.
