Prevent further double yellow lines and loss of parking spaces on the Kings Road, Shalford
We the undersigned petition Surrey County Council to Not install further double yellow lines on the Kings Road. Under LSEN/10644/GLD/AK/PAK there are proposed plans to extend the double yellow lines on the Kings Road, Shalford by 70 metres and install a zebra crossing. Currently the residents of the Kings Road and Station Road already struggle to park near their homes especially in the working week where local businesses, commuters and village visitors take a large portion of the local parking.
The proposed changes seem to have not been considered by an independent party. As it stands the proposed area of change on the Kings Road does not have a space without a car parked in it, who audited parking or the impact to the local residents when approving this work. This will devalue the properties in the immediate vicinity as parking will become more scarce.
