The weight limit would prevent HGV articulated lorries accessing local roads without disrupting deliveries by lorries under 18 tons. Local roads are not designed or suitable for vehicles of this size and weight. Residents are very concerned about the dangers to pedestrians and other drivers when these heavy articulated lorries try to navigate through the town on their way to and from Brooklands. Many residents are also constantly disturbed due to noise through the night.
