Following Cabinet’s consideration of the Bus Service Improvement Plan in October 2021 that was subsequently submitted to Government, this report moves us to the next stage of delivering the requirements of the National Bus Strategy (Bus Back Better), namely agreeing an Enhanced Partnership Plan. This is a legal agreement between SCC and our bus operators, setting out at a high level the obligations of each party, with the report setting out how the Enhanced Partnership will work and the responsibilities of the County Council as the Local Transport Authority and bus operators as service providers.
