A New Vision Zero Road Safety Strategy and 20 MPH Speed Limit Policy

 

 

It is recommended that Cabinet:

  1. Welcome the draft Surrey RoadSafe Partnership Vision Zero Road Safety Strategy and the collaborative work of Council Officers, Surrey Police, Surrey Fire and Rescue and National Highways that has produced the draft document.
  2. Agree that a public and stakeholder consultation on the draft strategy inclusive of a new 20 mph speed limit policy be held, commencing in December and running until the end of February 2024.
  3. Agree that the results of the public and stakeholder consultation, along with any proposed changes to the strategy and 20 mph speed limit policy, be brought back to Cabinet in Spring 2024 for final approval.
