Surrey Countryside Access Forum

Description

The Surrey Countryside Access Forum is an independent body that advises the County Council and others on improving access to the countryside. It has a maximum of 22 members. The Surrey Countryside Access Forum was established by Surrey County Council under section 94 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (the CROW Act). The function of the Forum is to advise relevant bodies on the improvement of public access to land, including rights of way, in Surrey for the purpose of open air recreation and the enjoyment of the area. All bodies specified by or under section 94 have a statutory duty to have regard to the advice of the Forum. Although the Forum is administrated by Surrey County Council it is in all other respects entirely independent.
