To approve the minutes of the previous meeting on 26 March 2021 as a correct record. Minutes: Minutes of the Waverley Local Committee on 26th March 2021 were agreed and approved as an accurate record.
The meeting was then adjourned to receive a question from Mrs Ames who hadn’t been able to attend the public online Q & A session which had been held before the Formal meeting.

FARNHAM 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT SCHEME (EXECUTIVE FUNCTION) PDF 1 MB
To agree that a 20 mph speed limit is implemented on the roads shown within the report. Decision: The Local Committee (Waverley) resolved to AGREE to:
Reason: To enable the changes to the posted speed limit from 30 mph to 20 mph, on the roads identified within Figures 1-3 in Annex A, in accordance with Surrey County Council’s Speed Limit Policy. The proposed lower 20 mph speed limit on these roads will contribute to improved road safety for all users and an improved environment for active travel within the area, encouraging more short trips to be made by modes such as walking and cycling. The proposed extent of 20 mph speed limit on these roads has been identified to provide consistency of speed limit and align the proposals with best practice to contribute to an effective positive change of character and improved accessibility throughout the respective areas.

BUS STOP CLEARWAYS THE STREET WRECCLESHAM (EXECUTIVE FUNCTION) PDF 121 KB
To approve clearway markings at two new bus stops in The Street, Wrecclesham, to ensure that any owner of a vehicle parked within the bus stops will be subject to the relevant enforcement. Additional documents: Decision: The Local Committee (Waverley) resolved to AGREE that:
(i) Clearway marking will be provided at two new bus stop locations, as shown in Annex A of the report.
Reason: Approval for the clearway markings at the bus stops will ensure that any owner of a vehicle parked within the bus stops will be subject to the relevant enforcement.
